[he opens the door and walks in, dropping down on the couch next to Tiffany. It might be a bit of a shock to see him so normal-looking but he actually combed his hair and showered recently.

He stares at the little piles of Oreos on the table]

Well, they smell amazing, so that's a new thing.

[tucky]

You smell amazing. You taking showers now?

[This is a big improvement; she'd actually waffled about whether she should put down a towel to protect the couch from him.]

[he blushes, ashamed and gives a nod without looking at Tiffany]

Yeah. Hey, so why are they all different?

[tucky]

There's different kinds. That's just how they make them. I like the ones with extra cream.

[beejfu]

[Betelgeuse actually seems to be biting his lip to retain a really dirty joke, stop the presses]

[tucky]

[Paaaaaaause.]

I know you really wanna say it, so I give you permission.

[beejfu]

Same, especially in bed.

[he grins, relieved]

[tucky]

That was a whole lot less crude than I thought it was gonna be.

[She picks up a pink-filled Oreo, tossing it at him.]

[beejfu]

Well, I'm not a demon anymore, so I'm trying to be way less gross.

[he grins, and catches it in his mouth, chewing it.

Something in his expression clicks, and he starts to cough, doubled over]

[tucky]

Oh, shit.

[She jumps up from the couch and hurries over, thumping him on the back.]

Betelgeuse, you okay?

[beejfu]

[he coughs up little crumbs before sucking in a breath, eyes watering a little, but he seems to be crying less about nearly choking and more about the taste]

I didn't know food tasted like that.

[Oh no now he's crying from happiness]

[tucky]

Does it taste bad? Do you think you're allergic? Does your tongue feel like it's swelling up?

[SHE HAS AN EPI PEN]

[beejfu]

[he shakes his head, rubbing his eyes tearfully to express to Tiffany;]

It tastes amazing. Better than anything I could have imagined.

[tucky]

[OH NO BEEJ

She gives him a tiny little shoulder-pat.]

You try anything from the dining hall yet? Or gotten somebody to cook for you?

[beejfu]

Rhys, a little bit. Nothing like this.

[he sniffs at the oreo in his hand, taking another, more careful nibble and shutting his eyes in pure watery bliss]

[tucky]

This ain't even cooked, it's-- candy. Cookies. I guess you got a sweet tooth.

[beejfu]

I know what cookies are, I liked them before but I didn't know how they could taste when you're alive.

Jesus christ. Jesus christ how are you not eating this all the time?

[tucky]

Betelgeuse, I have like five different packages. What makes you think I'm not eating them all the time?

[beejfu]

[he gives a joyful little laugh]

Oh, yeah.

Are these your favorite?

[tucky]

Some of my favorites, yeah. I really like making my own stuff too, though. Sometimes cookies, but mostly cupcakes and pastry swans.

What's a pastry swan?

[tucky]

It's a bread pastry that looks like a swan and has cream in the middle. I learned to make them here.

[beejfu]

They sound so adorable.

They're really adorable. Mine aren't as good as Alfie's were, but I'm getting better at them. Wanna see a picture?
