[Tiffany follows, going to sit on the couch.]

Okay. Why do you wanna do it?

[deadcalm]

[Tiffany's going to get the whole story out of her, so she stops trying to control how the words come out.] I saw his memory- they were both here- he killed him like I told you I was so scared of.

[tucky]

Killed your boyfriend?

[deadcalm]

Yes. He set a trap for him. [Her voice starts to dwindle as she continues, and she can't look upwards.] He thought he was an animal.

[tucky]

Do you want me to know who it was? Because-- I'm gonna want to help you not do it, even though revenge still makes a lot of sense to me and I'd be just as pissed as you are if that happened to somebody I loved. But I'm not gonna want the guy who did it to get hurt, and I'm not gonna want you to do something you just said you're regret.

[deadcalm]

I know you'll tell him.

[tucky]

I don't know if I would or not. I wouldn't want to. But... I wouldn't wanna say nothing, knowing he might get hurt.

I'd rather help you figure this out right now and not tell him anything at all.

[deadcalm]

Only one thing's holding me back. [So it's going to take a lot of work to stop her.]

[deadcalm]

If I kill him, nobody will think I'm a lady anymore. I'll be someone you watch out for.

[tucky]

Did you tell me about it 'cause you couldn't help telling, or 'cause you wanted me to help you not do it?

[deadcalm]

The second one. I can't stop myself. I can handle myself if I'm scared, but... I don't know what to do about hating somebody.

[tucky]

It's hard controlling your anger when you hate somebody.

[She knows from personal experience.]

You wanna tell me what happened? You don't gotta tell me who it is, but-- do you think talking about the stuff you saw is gonna help or hurt?

[deadcalm]

[She still looks down, but sneaks up a peek through her bangs at Tiffany before she starts.]

He was minding his business, and I mean that. This guy was waiting for him with something he'd made out of stuff here. Then he shot him with it, and-

-and he's still here and could do anything he wanted here.

[tucky]

I'm sorry.

[She holds out a hand towards Lua - not touching, but offering.]

[deadcalm]

[She takes the hand in hers, giving it just enough weight to not go limp. They need to connect right now; she needs to read Tiffany.]

And he's proud of it. It's nothing to be proud of.

[tucky]

[Tiffany gives Lua's hand a little squeeze. She's worried, but mostly empathetic.]

You know it... wouldn't've been permanent. Right?

[deadcalm]

[She turns her head back up, anger raising her voice's pitch.] He still doesn't deserve it.

[tucky]

No, he doesn't.

[Tiffany stays calm, and firm.]

I don't think he does. I promise. But I didn't want you thinking he was gone forever.

[deadcalm]

I knew that. It happened right on deck. I know about where. And I can't let him get away with it.

[she either knows, or doesn't care, that ladd eventually got his revenge via the contents of a toolbox and a very unpleasant weekend for omar little; what matters is no one's allowed to touch him]

[tucky]

What's gonna happen if you go after him and what's gonna happen if you don't? I mean, inside you, with how you feel; I ain't talking about getting caught or punished or anything. Unless you wanna talk about that.

[deadcalm]

It won't feel right if I don't. I'll keep hating him until I have to do something.

[tucky]

If I tell you I know exactly how that feels, will you believe me?

[deadcalm]

It wasn't exactly the same, 'cause for me it wasn't about defending other people. It was about feeling offended personally.
