All right-- because of an incident a while ago involving the pool, a loose rabbit, and some beer, my warden's just a little bit disappointed and exasperated with me, I think. We'd been talking about how he wants me to keep busy by getting a job and finding a subject to study, but he's given me a deadline now, so I'm-- I'm taking suggestions. He says I can't work in the chapel, but I was wondering... I mean...

[She trails off, frowning.]

… Hey, is it just me, or does it seem like there's a lot more people talking over this thing today?

[She is going to take that as a compliment; an insinuation that she's so cool that people would be clamoring to be her favorite.]

I guess it might be Iris. Or... well. I don't know. I guess I don't actually have one favorite.

[That is 100% the right implication. Sure, Amy barely knows her, but if Simon likes her well enough that he's managed to make it into her top five? She can't be bad, that's for sure. Definitely one of the better living.]

Can't say I know her, but I'm sure she'd be flattered to know she's your might-be favorite.

Well, you probably don't know many people at all if you ain't really on the Barge. But everyone likes her.

[Sudden shift in topic because Simon told her he was in the city still. This is decidedly not the city.]

Warden. He's a real good one.

[She nods a little, but she doesn't really seem all that pleased.]

Good. I'm glad to hear it.

... Do you wish he was an inmate?

What? No, of course not! Simon's a good person. If anybody deserves to be a warden, it's him.

[It's just the lying thing that's bothering her right now.]

I think so, too. He helped me a lot when I first got here.

That sounds like him.

Not necessarily Catholic.

He is. But he's also a disciple of the Undead Prophet.
