All right-- because of an incident a while ago involving the pool, a loose rabbit, and some beer, my warden's just a little bit disappointed and exasperated with me, I think. We'd been talking about how he wants me to keep busy by getting a job and finding a subject to study, but he's given me a deadline now, so I'm-- I'm taking suggestions. He says I can't work in the chapel, but I was wondering... I mean...
[She trails off, frowning.]
… Hey, is it just me, or does it seem like there's a lot more people talking over this thing today?
[OOC: I will also be throwing around some Tiffany-related OITNB characters in this post, so if you want your character to talk to her lawyer or one of her prison's guards or whatever, this is the place! Also threadjacking is a-okayespecially if other people bring in canonmates; please bug her canonmates.]

[Because back at home, she'd never actually been the one suffering from prejudice or discrimination-- on the contrary, she'd sometimes been the one dolling it out. She'd lived in a little bubble where everyone she associated with was just like her, and being in a place where differences are normal and accepted isn't a welcome relief-- it's confusing, and sometimes frightening.
But people here are kind and patient, and it makes her want to get to know them, even when they're nothing like her. Even, in some cases, when they're the kind of people she'd previously thought of as "bad" or "wrong".]
I don't hate it.

I don't... know if I'm really living.
I'm not. I'm not living; I'm dead, too.
