[It's Christmas, Barge residents. And as it happens, one of your new arrivals is a Christmas angel.

Well, okay, she's just dressed up as one. Interestingly enough, it was Christmas on her world too, and she just got done performing in a Christmas pageant: she's wearing a white costume robe, and has a tinsel crown on her head. The front of her robe is bloody and dirty, and torn in a few places-- and given how beat-up and damaged her face looks, it's probably safe to assume that at least some of that blood is hers.

Currently she's wandering into to common area on level 6, a bit unsteady on her feet. She's also filming herself, because she found a fancy phone so why the hell not. Soon enough she stops walking and poses dramatically, arms held wide.]

Be not afraid-- for behold, I bring good tidings of... of, uh...

[And then she collapses. So yeah, that's a thing that's happening.]

You don't understand; I was saved. It don't matter where I was headed before. You trying to tell me I'm damned? Because I'm not.

Not with any certainty, no. However your presence as an inmate on this ship would certainly lead me to believe your salvation is not yet a done deal.

I didn't find Him until after. And God's feelings don't much matter in Earthly courts.

His feelings probably don't matter much here either, unless the Admiral is God and I have my doubts about that.

He'd do good to listen to God. If this place is supposed to be better than Earth, he should.

[She just laughs and shakes her head.] I don't think anyone believes this place is supposed to be better than Earth. It is better than being dead however.

Better than dead if you're hellbound, you mean.

I don't believe all the inmates here were destined to hell--if such a place exists--so no, I'd have to say better than dead period.

It do exist. You read your Bible and you'd know that.

I have read it, but it presents only one opinion on the afterlife. The good book has some important lessons but it is just a book, one written by mortal men.

Written by men who were being told what to write by God. It ain't just a book, and I don't think you read it at all.

Listen, honey--I'm not saying your beliefs aren't valid. I can't say that because I don't know who's got the right answers. What I am saying is you might want to try keeping more of an open mind. Especially around here.
