Okay, one of these days I'm going to come over and show you how to make a proper cake. I won't bring proper alcohol because there are some things that shouldn't be mixed with cooking.

It could be whiskey cake.

I actually can make whiskey cake. The problem comes when I try to cook with people who decide to drink the whiskey and then share their 'great' ideas on how to improve the recipe.

Aw, would I do that?

You drink lite beer, I'm not sure if there's any depth you won't sink to. Though at least you couldn't decide that the cake would cook a lot faster if you started throwing fire balls at it.

Maybe I would if I could throw fireballs.

The important thing is that you can't.

And in case you ever get the chance, it doesn't work it just sets everything on fire. Whiskey catches on fire quite easily.

Well, I know that. I've been at a lot of bonfires.

Wanna make some whiskey cake for the Barge?

So had he but did that stop him? No it did not. And it wasn't even my kitchen.

Sure, if we use American drinking laws we can count it as my first crime. How many will we need to have enough for the ship, do you think?

We can make two. There'll probably be people who won't want any, but we'll have to keep Pietro from eating ten slices.

I know a couple who don't drink, even though its debatable whether the cake would count. Considering Pietro's metabolism, it probably takes a lot to get him drunk.

Whiskey cake isn't meant to make people drunk. It don't even taste like whiskey.

[audio]

[golden_eyes]

You haven't seen how I make it yet.

Yeah? Then maybe we're gonna want to keep it for ourselves.

I feel I should warn you that it's been a while since I've gotten drunk. But everyone survived so I don't really know why people complained so much.

Is it harder for you to get drunk, 'cause of you're magic?

[golden_eyes]

No, it's hard for me to get drunk because I had a wild youth followed by hard drinking years as a soldier that left me with an incredibly high tolerance for alcohol.

[tucky]

Mm, shit. That's depressing.

[audio]

[golden_eyes]

Possibly a little. And I didn't even mention that we drank to try to push away the memories killing and watching friends be killed. That's always a downer.

If you ever want to talk about it, you can talk to me. And if you don't want to talk about it, I will never bring it up.

Ah Tiffany, that was all a long time ago. Sometimes we all get a little maudlin but most of the time I've learned to laugh. I like to share stories because that's what we did, in some ways we even became stories. The war was what it was and I am who I am because of it. To forget it would be to forget all those people we lost in it but it would also cut away to much of myself.

[He smiles at her.]

And most of the time, I like myself.

And I like you, whatever pains sometimes sneak up out of your past.

I'd make you a whole cake just for feeling that way.
