[There's the sound of hurried footsteps in the background; she's on her way to the stairs.]

I didn't do nothing and I don't plan to, but I have gotten confirmation that the demons and dark creatures here are after me. I ain't crazy or imagining things, and I ain't looking for signs and messages when there aren't any-- I got told straight out by Doctor Facilier that I pissed 'em off and I'm a goner. I don't know if any place is safe for me now, but I heard Zero's better than most.

[She takes a moment to catch her breath; she's still half-running.]

Please let me down. I wouldn't ask if it weren't an emergency; more important than life or death. It's not my body that's at stake, it's my immortal soul.

[She turns off the public feed and records a series of private messages, partially intended to be goodbye notes if things go badly. She knows people come back from the dead-- but she doesn't know if they come back from having their souls corrupted by creatures from hell.]

I'm gonna have to miss therapy for a while, I think. Unless you can come down to do it.

I know lots of people don't like you, and maybe some of 'em have good reasons; I don't know. But you were good to me and I think a lot about the things you said.

You were the first person here who was as nice to me as you were, and that will always be real special to me. For as long as I live, I will never forget that you saw all I was but still liked me anyway. You were right about all the ugly stuff in me, but I been trying to be a little better, and that's because of you.

I need your help-- please. Please. I don't know what to do. Is there a way to get rid of them? Can we cleanse the ship?

Can you come and visit me sometimes? I think I might be down there for a very long time, and I'm gonna miss you. More than anyone, maybe. If something happens to me, I want you to know that some of the people here have been nicer to me than anyone's ever been, and you were a real big part of that. And I didn't end up hating the Barge, even with all the terrible things.

In case I don't see you again for a while, or in case they get to me, I hope you don't forget what I said about you being good and being worth a lot-- 'cause I meant every word. You are the best inmate here and one of the best people too, and I won't forget all you did for me.

I'm sorry. I tried. I didn't go after 'em again, but they found me anyway. I wanted to do right by you, I really did, but I don't know what's gonna happen now.

[ she's on her way there now, but her steps slow to a stop, focusing on the call. mostly she's worried about Tiffany thinking she just ditched her #teenagerproblems ]

There is a man who works for demons or maybe the devil who might come after me. Mason said I would be safe in zero and he would like me to go there if I get threatened, and I want too go too just to be safe.

But he might have been wrong and I might not be safe down there at all. I don't know anymore the barge is so confusing.

It's not a Warden saying those things, is it? Because to be honest, I'm sure that any Inmates here that has magic or has a power that could hurt someone has that power taken from them while they're here.

But if it's a Warden trying to scare you, that's something that should be taken to the Admiral, I think.

No he's an inmate.

Are the admiral and the barge above demons? Demons are very powerful I'm wondering if they can get around that rule.

Honestly? I think he might be. The Admiral can manipulate time, bring people back from the dead, change people's fate, drop a person into a world that isn't anything like their own - so, yes. I think the Admiral could control anyone with... connections to demons, or demons themselves.

What is the Admiral?

[She can't help but wonder if he's God.]

I'm really not sure. I know I talked to him, I know he was the one that addressed me about coming here to be a Warden, but I can't even remember what his face looks like. It used to bug me, but I've learned it's one of those questions we'll never have a solid answer to.

Do you think he's God?

I think that whatever's going on here is kind of.. beyond anything like that, somehow. Multiple universes and timelines and lifelines, I don't think it would be right to try and label him as sort of one single entity that we know from our world. From modern Earth, I mean. I think.

I'm probably not explaining that right.

But there isn't anything beyond God. Hes God.

Maybe. But some worlds might not even have religion, let alone Christianity specifically. It's kind of a mixed bag once you start thinking about the multiverse.

Even if they do'nt believe in Him He's still there. He created everything everywhere, even other planets and worlds. Even the barge.

Hmm. In that case, I'm not sure I believe the Admiral is God, then. Maybe someone that "works" for him. Something about him being "Him" doesn't totally add up.

[ meanwhile, Gwen's not really religious. at all. but she's curious about Tiffany's ..dedication to it, for sure ]

I think it's the idea that the same person/entity that created all life is also the same person that showed up at my father's funeral asking me if I wanted to come to the Barge and help people. I had no idea a place like this even existed until I was brought here.
