I been thinking. I thought it was cool how the Enclosure got programmed the way it did for Bucky's party, so I was wondering if I could do that, too-- not for a party, but for a fireworks show. I don't know if any of the people here have ever been to one, but where I come from, they're real popular in the summer. You go to a big empty field at night, sit on blankets, and just... watch. Maybe bring out a keg of beer or something, I don't know. You think the Enclosure could do that?
I wanted to do it on my birthday, if things are all calmed down. Sometimes these shows can get crazy and loud with people dancing and partying, but I know I ain't in a raucous mood, and I bet I'm not the only one. So maybe a quiet one would be good right now. Something relaxing.
It'd be nice, I think.

Merlin's better. He-- it's real complicated, but he didn't mean that stuff he said. I know that nothing was making him say it, but he had those parasites in him that had him thinking it was the best thing to do, and... he regrets it. He changed his mind.
[She sounds relieved, if just a tiny bit wary. She wasn't affected by the Sha herself, and she still isn't 100% clear on what exactly it was or how it worked-- so while she's ever-trusting and wants to give her warden the benefit of the doubt, it's going to take her a week or so of him being normal for her to fully believe that he really is staying, and he really does want her as his inmate.]
I ain't mad at him. Y'all don't have to be either.
[Mason and Simon, she's looking at you.]

He did right by me. God guided his hand.

[She seems 100% sure of this.]
God's done too much for me. He brought me here.
[From her tone, it's clear she sees that as a really, really good thing.]

There are certainly worse prisons than this bizarre place, but I'd just as soon not be in a prison at all, except for that whole 'you're probably dead back home' thing.
[spam]
There's stuff here I like even better than being out of prison. There's nothing like that for you?

I got a nice bed and a chair and an iPod and some nice clothes, though.
[spam]
Well, that ain't nothin' I didn't have back home. I had more clothes back home. My wardrobe's a little limited here.
[spam]
[SHRUG.]
… And then there’s people. People who like me for me, and not because we grew up together and are exactly the same.
[spam]
[He gestured to the person behind the bar.] Bartender, let's do that again, if you'd be so kind.
[spam]
[She finishes her second whiskey.]
Okay. Gonna have a Bud now.
[spam]
[People he's friendly with, anyway. But he trusts no one.]
[spam]
[She seems a little surprised by that, because she has the Barge ideal constructed in her head where everyone both embraces and is embraced with open arms by most of the people around them. She was very, very lucky in that she was immediately taken in by certain people, even when she was new and far less palpable a person.]
You got a list? I wanna compare it to my list. See if we got any overlap.
[spam]
He shrugged.] Venus. Iris, maybe.
[spam]
[Hmmm, speaking of Venus... she pauses thoughtfully, turning to look at him fully.]
You know...
[spam]
Know what?
[spam]
You and Venus kinda look alike. A lot.
[Beat.]
I ain't saying she looks like a guy. She is not a guy; I know that.
[spam]
Well, she was one, once. You can still see it a little.
