I been thinking. I thought it was cool how the Enclosure got programmed the way it did for Bucky's party, so I was wondering if I could do that, too-- not for a party, but for a fireworks show. I don't know if any of the people here have ever been to one, but where I come from, they're real popular in the summer. You go to a big empty field at night, sit on blankets, and just... watch. Maybe bring out a keg of beer or something, I don't know. You think the Enclosure could do that?
I wanted to do it on my birthday, if things are all calmed down. Sometimes these shows can get crazy and loud with people dancing and partying, but I know I ain't in a raucous mood, and I bet I'm not the only one. So maybe a quiet one would be good right now. Something relaxing.
It'd be nice, I think.

Merlin's better. He-- it's real complicated, but he didn't mean that stuff he said. I know that nothing was making him say it, but he had those parasites in him that had him thinking it was the best thing to do, and... he regrets it. He changed his mind.
[She sounds relieved, if just a tiny bit wary. She wasn't affected by the Sha herself, and she still isn't 100% clear on what exactly it was or how it worked-- so while she's ever-trusting and wants to give her warden the benefit of the doubt, it's going to take her a week or so of him being normal for her to fully believe that he really is staying, and he really does want her as his inmate.]
I ain't mad at him. Y'all don't have to be either.
[Mason and Simon, she's looking at you.]

Hi.

Home, eh? With beer like that, it must've been a wonderful place.
What were you in prison for, then? Un-confuse me from there.

[He shrugs.] Only if you don't mind.

People are-- people are assholes; people are fucking rude assholes. I don't miss that at all; people here are nice.
She should've been nicer to me; I was in a vulnerable state.
... But maybe I shouldn't've done it. I don't know. I don't think about it; I don't like to.

[He puts down his half-empty glass and pushes it toward her. Either it'll help or it'll make things much worse, but it's about as good as he gets at comfort.]
Kind of late to worry about it now, isn't it?
[spam]
[She takes his glass and downs it. This is honestly something she needs to talk about, even though she doesn't want to. Doing it when she's getting drunk probably isn't the best time, but it's better than not talking about it at all.]
Said things. She was at a clinic. You ever been to those places? Women's health clinics? They are not nice places at all. Cold and hard and judging and the wait's always real long. You ain't gonna get respect in a place like that.
[spam]
No, I haven't. I'm not a woman, as you may have noticed. But you have?
[spam]
[She takes the can, wrapping her hands around it, but doesn't drink just yet.]
Maybe it was 'cause I was on drugs or 'cause I'd just been pregnant or 'cause I was sick and tired of people like her. Or maybe it was even God working through me. I don't know. But I shot someone and I don't want it to have been because I was crazy. Do you think I'm crazy?
[spam]
I don't think shooting someone is grounds for declaring anyone crazy.

[She sighs, drinks, then lays her cheek on the table.]
I wouldn't have gotten pregnant so much.

[Suddenly, she seems to remember that she's talking to an inmate, and she frowns.]
Don't... don't tell anybody.

[He shrugs and shakes his head.]
What would I say? "Newsflash, Tiffany isn't perfect, film at 11?"
[spam]
You could say Tiffany is a baby killer, or Tiffany makes bad choices, or Tiffany is a whore. And I don't want you to say any of those things.
[spam]
I could say any of those things, sure. But have I?
[spam]
I don't like thinking about this. I don't think about it at all, usually.
[spam]
[He pauses awkwardly and takes a sip of the beer before making a face and spitting it back into the can.] How can you drink this?
[spam]
[She lifts her head up with a groan, going for her own can again.]
I do make bad choices. But I make good ones now sometimes, too.
[spam]
[That's the only part he'll argue with, and he raises the can.]
As if you're the only one. You're probably making better choices than I am, at that.
[spam]
... Okay. Wait. Here.
[She leans forward and grabs his hand, kissing the back of it. Then she flops back with a laugh.]
And that’s the best you’re gonna get.
[spam]
[Believe him, Tiffany. Although he grins when she kisses his hand.]
I'll just have to make do. And snog the back of my hand later tonight.
