So, uh-- when I first got here, Dr. Cambridge put an implant in me, so I wouldn't have to deal with periods and stuff. But it was a birth control thing too, so that means if I'm having sex I don't have to bother with condoms or nothing, right?
[She sounds hopeful. Please give her the green light to be irresponsible, guys!
(Just kidding, please don't.) ]

[Little-known fact: the deck kind of freaks Tiffany out. Out there, space is right in your face, and there's so much of it-- it's impossibly big, and it makes her feel impossibly small. She's never even seen the ocean from the deck of a ship; seeing the entire universe from one is infinitely more overwhelming.
But it's also nice and peaceful, in a way-- not to mention beautiful. So sometimes when she's feeling particularly brave (and right now, post-port, she definitely is) she goes out onto the main deck. She almost always stays away from the railing, opting instead to stick as close to the side of the ship as possible. Sometimes she walks, but it makes her feel a little dizzy. Mostly, she can be found sitting down-- not on a bench, but on the floor, her back pressed against the solid, reassuring Barge wall.
It doesn't matter where she sits. Either way, she can still see the stars.]

This is the kind of message you aren't supposed to respond to and in fact you should delete it off your phone once you have read it and pretend you realized it all on your own. I know guys don't pick up signals sometimes but if I'm real honest girls are the same way even though we're supposed to be better at this stuff so don't feel bad. So in case you didn't already know the signal coming from me is this, I like how things are and will not be unhappy at all if nothing changes but if you asked me out on a date someday I would say yes.
[Look at her, using spellcheck! It doesn't help with punctuation issues, but still.]

I don't want to think about fighting right now. I want to think about how I'm happy.

You do look rather chipper. Whatever has caused it, hold to it. [ He's a cynic, its in his nature but his words were sincere because he knows how fleeting happiness can be.]

[ Closest to a compliment he could give at the moment. He leaned back on the railing looking out at the sky. Idly thinking that her and Dante would get along pretty well. ]
Tell me what else happened. You clearly have a story.

You mean before or after the port was done?

[ Before he inevitably goes to spend his night reading or with Sylvanas.]

And we got back to the Barge. We got through it.

Do you not know how to play chess?

Simon's real good; I love him, he's great. He's a warden, and he's one of the best people I know. Anya's a warden too, and she's also real nice. And Mason...
[Mason makes her smile the way she's smiling right now.]
Yeah, he's an inmate. The guy I was with when you came by.

[ He commented but clearly was letting that go.] I keep meaning to ask him about himself, he seems interesting.
An inmate you are smitten with. [ He didn't have an ounce of judging in his tone.] never see you smile like that before when talking about someone.

Yeah. He's... yeah.

Good on you, take what happiness you can get. And it helps, having something to protect helps one keep a drive to not be defeated.

And there's people here I would definitely protect.

[ While he listened to her speak, and he spoke in return his fingers idly touched the necklace that was laid against his shirt, his vest had it half covered but it was almost gaudy a red jewel with gold casing. Her reasons were alive, his were mostly all dead.]

You ain't so bad to talk to, you know.

[ He pushed off the railing and nodded at her.] Have a good night Tiffany, stop at the library tomorrow around 3pm and I will have some books set aside for you.
[ Yeah, he works in the library.]

[But she will show up for the books.]

Point taken.
[ He went on to push abck off the rail and head towards the door.]

[And she'll stay there, looking out at the stars... wondering what the hell her lawyer would think about her talking to a demon.
Half-demon. Whatever.]
