[Sup, Barge. Somebody's actually in a pretty good mood right now. She's forcibly shoved away all thoughts of potentially being dead and what that might mean for her religious beliefs, and is instead focusing on the good things in life: swag.]

Hey, y'all.

[She isn't so much grinning as she is baring her teeth at the communicator, showing off her new pearly whites. While her teeth were rotten, discoloured, and in many cases all-out missing just a few days ago, now they're intact, straight, and blemish-free.]

I know how the Admiral can give you stuff now, as you can see. I got some other things, too. Like a new room, music... and I know everyone said this place has downsides and all, but I have to say I ain't seeing that yet.

[She holds up her new iPod, wiggling it for emphasis.]

I heard some of you like to ask for presents for people, and some of you don't. Do I get to know who's who? And I know it's a "right person, right time" kind of situation, so I'm just wondering when those right times are. What happens if I ask for something at the wrong time? Do you take stuff away?

And what kind of stuff can I ask for? Is there anything you get in trouble for asking?

Not for asking, no, lovey; we'll just say no to owt stronger'n booze or weed, or owt that makes it too easy for folk to 'urt each other.

What about stuff to, like, defend yourself?

That gets a bit case-by-case, to be honest. On the one 'and? If someone really wants to murder someone, not 'aving a gun or a knife's not going to stop 'em. On the other 'and? A mate of mine once got someone a taser for self-defense and she turned round and killed two blokes with it. On the third 'and I've 'ad my own personal life saved by inmates with guns in dodgy ports and breaches more'n once.

They're magic teeth. They ain't fakes, is what I'm saying. They're fully real.

The downsides are the being turned into other people, or the mild personality transplants, or the occasional mind control and murder, it's not all sunshine and flowers.

But I'm glad you're happy. This place shouldn't be awful and it's good you've had a good start.

C'rizz is also a tall, burly reptilian fellow with external bone ridges running up his skull and down his chin, currently a neutralish sandy gray colour, but he's gotten used to assuming the barge will roll with it.]
